"Coming home" for me means arriving, coming to my innermost being, letting go and recharging. I can do that in the best way when I‘m alone in nature, in an enchanted place, inside of an old abandoned house. These are the locations that I chose for my series "Homecoming".
A nest offers protection, gravestones keep memories alive and awaken a desire for the beyond. A tree house symbolizes the connection between heaven and earth and creates a feeling of floating between the worlds. An old abandoned house tells stories that transform into living images.
There is something magical about creating art during the blue hour. When light and darkness melt into each other, an inner door opens that leads me to a parallel world which I immerse myself into. This other world becomes concrete and reveals itself through my works.
